Education

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of California, Berkeley with 3.9 GPA as an Integrative Biology major (Human Biology emphasis). In high school I graduated salutatorian (unweighted GPA 4.4) and took a total of 9 AP courses (all passed with 5's and 4's). My highest level of math taken is Calculus II, highest chemistry is Organic Chemistry (which I actually loved, however dreaded a reputation it has!), was the top of the class in multiple art classes (drawing and sculpting), and have taken a large myriad of biology courses.

Experience

I have experience tutoring Algebra, SAT math (which I got a perfect 800 on), GRE Math, and High School level Chemistry. One of my favorite teaching experiences was as an undergraduate instructor for Anatomy Lab at UC Berkeley. Since graduating, I have been teaching at Oakland Zoo in the field of animal science, environmental studies, and conservation. The age levels that I have taught ranges from 2 years old to college graduates. My goal is to guide students to a greater understanding of the subject matter and to enjoy the learning process.

Hobbies

If I had to boil down my hobbies, it would be creating art, traveling, and eating! I love cooking (though eating is better), and my specialty is making sushi. My favorite book (or rather 7 books) is Harry Potter, favorite movie is Totoro (but I have been on a Moana obsession as of late), and I have to admit that Pokemon has been a large part of my life. I love to be out in nature, and my favorite place I've visited is Iceland. The landscape there is other worldly! I like to laugh a lot and joke around. I have a passion for learning, so much so that I sometimes take math tests online for fun (this is how much all kids should love math!), and watch YouTube videos about science.
